England Training Day Supersized!

Very fun training session today which was enjoyed by all. It was really great to see all the kids wearing their England kits in support of our opening World Cup Group match against Italy later tonight. Football is all too often taken very seriously and one thing we always want to emphasise is that the children are having fun and have a smile on their faces. So its great to have one of these fun type training sessions every now and then. Football is competitive, but it should also be enjoyable and fun.

Well done to Max for winning the best England dress up with his World Cup face paint and St Georges Cross sprayed in his hair.

Great effort by Max with the face paint, the World Cup, St Georges cross and the Brazilian flag.

Sam was a very close second by borrowing his Dad's wig!

I think the highlight of the day for the kids was a little mess around game we had arranged at the end of today's session with a giant 86cm diameter inflatable football. Such great fun and really nice to see the kids getting stuck in and enjoying themselves. Everyone just wants to tonk the ball as far and high as they can and even the coaches couldn't resist getting stuck in. Unfortunately Gaffer Stuart got a little too stuck in and brought the proceedings to a grinding halt as he stuck his foot straight through the ball!!! Anyway enjoy the pictures of England reds versus England whites.

The fun ends as the ball quickly deflates after Stuart tries to hit it out of the park!

All the Forest Glade Under 6's dressed up in support of England.

The Lions roar - most were roaring for England but the was the odd chant for Italy (Jake!!!).

Finally a very well done to this weeks trainers of the week, Freddie (Panthers), Jake (Leopards), Ethan (Tigers) and Sam (Lions).

Trainers of the week 14/6/14 Sam, Jake, Ethan and Freddie.
