Lion's New Toy

If any of the local schools have noticed one of their classroom white boards gone walk-abouts - I think we may have found the culprits!!!! Coach Stuart and Steve take pre-match briefings to the next level with their new toy - an A3 drywipe tactic board with magnetic player pieces. A great idea as kids often relate to pictures/images more than just words. Given that the Lions went undefeated at the Trinity tournament where the board made its first appearance  then maybe Stuart is on to something here. The kid's seemed to really enjoy using the board and figuring out options available to them during certain scenarios which were mapped out on the board. Maybe Van Gaal can learn something from our Lions!!!!

Forest Glade Bi-Monthly Draw

All, we have been asked to let you know that Forest Glade runs a Bi-monthly draw which costs only £5 every two months. Any profit from the draw goes directly back into the club to help fund the rent, club house, etc.etc. The draw only costs £5 every two months and gives you the opportunity to win some price money. The current pot which will be drawn on 27h September stands at £75. Sounds like it has got to be worth a £5 punt to me.

Anyway the club have noticed that no-one from mini soccer currently enter into the FG club draw and have asked us to give this a push. So if you fancy entering please see one of the coaches for more information or talk directly to Darren Crowly who is usually around the club most weekends.

A team event

Our friends at Chelmsford Chieftains Ice Hockey team have offered us the chance to take the Under 7's to watch a game.

Coming off the back of a successful quadruple winning season they have offered us the opportunity to take our team to watch them play, While the squad players will be allowed admission to the game FREE of charge at least one full paying adult will be required to attend the game with them.

This is the fastest team sport around, It's high pace and hard hitting physical style really makes for an entertaining evening out, The game is played in three 20 minute periods but generally lasts about 2 plus hours with stoppages.
The cost of an adult ticket is £10.50, If you've never watch it before I'm sure you will not find that fee a waste of your money.

The date we would be looking at is as follows.

Saturday 4th October, Chieftains v MK Thunder @17.45

Please let us know ASAP to get us booked in. It really would be a good event for the whole team to socialise outside of Football.

A night at the dogs.......................................................

We would like to try and organise an evening out with the parents, So a night at the dogs seems to fit the bill, Depending on interest we would look to have a meal and some drinks followed by a few cheeky bets.

Please see one of the coaches to register your interest.

FA respect campaign

A useful piece of information and well worth a look as we get ready for the new season !!!
We know Forest Glades parents conduct themselves in a respectable manor but would like to reiterate the issues highlighted in the FA respect guide. We as coaches and parents are responsible for our club and the behaviour of both home and away supporters, anyone not adhering to the guidelines may be asked to leave the grounds until the game has finished.

NO TRAINING SATURDAY 13th SEPTEMBER

All, please note there is no training at Forest Glade next weekend as the grounds are closed due to the annual Barleylands Essex Country Show. This should not impact most players as Leopards, Tigers and Lions will all be playing in the Trinity Tournament.

Good Luck to Coach Lee

Wishing Coach Lee good luck for tomorrow as his participates in the Great North Run. No pressure now Lee, but everyone in the club wants to know after the event if you beat the two hour target. Don't forget to wave and pretend you are not in any pain when you run past the TV camera's.
